Soft pastels on white Pastelmat, using pastel pencils and Schminke and Sennelier pastels. The Rose Festival just ended in my hometown of Portland, Oregon so roses were on my mind but my passion is doing portraits in pastel. This used several black and white photos and the red rose from in front of my studio.
