A recent trip to Sabino Canyon in Tucson, AZ, inspired this pastel. The natural rock steps leading up to a magnificent saguaro cactus just over the hill and partially hidden behind a palo verde tree first grabbed my attention, and yellow blooming brittle bushes kept me wandering over the site.
