Travelling with a quick-to-set-up field kit, I was able to paint this marina scene from my hotel window, as mists from the past hour’s rain dramatically steamed up the hillside across the bay. In this case my intent was to loosely capture the busy marina while focusing on the lightplay across rising mists.
