Blooming Spring Flowers

I used Lux Archival and a mixture of Sennelier, Girault and Earthberry soft pastels. I did a dark red alcohol underpainting to create texture in the grassy fields. This piece brings a spring feeling with the warm colored flowers, I used color toned reds in the horizon to create depth. In the foreground I used darker colors and big red marks for the flowers. This is an impressionist scene of wildflowers that are blooming after all the cold weather the land has been through. The flowers are ready to come out and paint the land with its enchanting colors.
