This is a pastel painting of Fiona... A chestnut horse standing in the sunlight in her pasture. I feel deeply connected to animals and tend to describe horses as my spirit animal. I went to the farm and photographed images of Fiona and other horses for reference. I painted her with a mix of soft pastel brands and pastel pencil on Pastelmat Board.
