Soft pastel on Pastelmat Sanguine. The subject was inspired but the unusual light over the Lake Michigan shorline late on a February afternoon. I enjoyed the contrast of the nearly sepia winter foreground and the glowing peachy skyline above the water. I used the underlying board color to warm the plaette and interplay with the skyline.
