On the Line is a soft pastel painting, inspired by a familiar scene from my parent’s Kentucky farm. I was hoping to capture the peaceful yet mysterious feeling of wind across the flat farm fields, mingling the scent of fresh rain and fresh laundry, and the bright haze of clouds thinning after a summer storm.
