Watch Party

I created this piece to celebrate the excitement surrounding the 2024 Solar Eclipse. In my home in central Indiana, there was an incredible amount of build-up for events in public spaces, like museums and even the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. There were also lots of at-home watch parties with plans to make the event special. My artwork frequently focuses on the emotional impact of food and familiar food packaging. When one of my friends told me they were having Moon Pies and Sunchips for the Eclipse, I immediately decided to do the same, and I knew it would make a fun still life.
