Stillness
My painting was creating from a photo of which I changed somewhat to get the effect that I wanted. I primarily use Unison pastels mixed by myself on a palette to get the colors and tones that I wanted. I love the 'stillness' look of the finished product and the fact that the lily pads invite you in to see more detail even though they are not the main subject.
It was done on PastelMat dark grey 11" x 14" paper using a combination of Unison soft pastel sticks and CarbOthello, Caran d'Ache and Faber Castell pencils.
